Pastor Sherri McClain DeBerry exemplifies the essence of true worship. As an anointed speaker and songstress, she seamlessly invites the presence of God through her praise, whether in song or preaching, embodying the Scriptures that calls for worshiping the Lord with gladness, coming before him with joyful songs and to entering his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.
At the age of 15, Sherri accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior under the guidance of the late Elder Ed Thomas at Kelly's Temple Holiness Unto the Lord. Since that pivotal moment, she has dedicated herself to serving in such offices as a youth leader, worship leader choir director, teacher, officer and administrator, drawing from a rich legacy of holiness where many of her relatives are ministers, evangelists, and devoted servants of God.
A fervent prayer warrior, she intercedes on behalf of her family, church community, and neighbors. She has served alongside her uncles, the late Bishop Wallace Furrs, founder of America Come Back to God Evangelistic Church, and the current Pastor, Ulysses Furr, since the Church's establishment in 1984. In 2014, she accepted the call to preach the Gospel. As a biblical historian, she often enriches her sermons with relevant historical context.
Sherri holds a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education, as well as dual Bachelor's Degrees in Business Management and Finance. In 2023, she was appointed Associate Pastor, overseeing the women's and prayer ministries. Her delightful and consistently positive disposition emanates from within, drawing individuals to her presence, allowing her to witness and encourage them.
A devoted wife to Brother Sean DeBerry for 32 years, a mother of five, and a grandmother of one, she possesses a servant's heart and is committed to preaching the unadulterated Gospel, inspiring all who encounter her to fulfill their highest calling with the assistance of the Lord Jesus Christ.
